Less than three weeks remain of Erik ten Hag’s first transfer window at Manchester United and he needs the club to be active if they are planning to stop the current rot.
United have lost both of their opening two games and it’s getting worse with each passing week. After two weeks, United are at the foot of the Premier League and the manager has conceded that new players must be signed before the end of the transfer window.
Thus far, only three players have walked through the doors at Carrington but there’s an acceptance that additional arrivals must be sealed.

“New signings? Yes. We need new players and quality players. We will try and convince them to join us,” Ten Hag said after the game, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“Only when we stick together we will overcome it. The manager is the main responsibility and I take that.”

United’s display at the Brentford Community Stadium was the latest reminder over the failing ownership of the club but also the pathetic recruitment system.
Ten Hag has hijacked that area of the club but thus far, all signs show toward the Dutchman becoming the latest man to be set up for failure by the suits running United.
Ten Hag is completely correct in his assessment and it’s impossible to argue against but the likelihood of him getting what he’s asking for is slim.
