West Ham are said to be considering offers for Said Benrahma in attempt to make room in the squad for free agent Jesse Lingard.
Manchester United have already announced that the 29-year-old will leave the club at the end of June. On top of that, the England international has been linked with a move to AS Roma, with Jose Mourinho reportedly keen to work with him again.
The Algerian winger is reportedly surplus to requirements under David Moyes, with the former Manchester United manager interested in bringing Lingard back to West Ham, where he previously spent half a season on loan.
Lingard enjoyed a brilliant six-month loan spell in London during the 2020/21 season, scoring nine goals and assisting a further six, so it comes as no surprise that Moyes wants him on a permanent deal.
According to the The Guardian, Moyes is willing to consider offers for Benrahma with a plan to replace the attacker with Lingard this summer.
Benrahma’s stats don’t read too poorly for the two seasons he has spent with the Hammers as he managed to directly contribute to 17 goals across all competitions.
Moyes believes he can get more out of Lingard and it would be a good move for the midfielder as it gives him a better chance of making the England squad for the World Cup later this year.
