Manchester United have dropped another couple of points in the Premier League as their inconsistent start to the season continues.
After winning four and drawing one in their five opening games, Manchester United have now failed to two home games on the bounce.
A first-half opener from Anthony Martial finished off a strong half for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but Andros Townsend’s second-half equaliser made sure spoils were shared. Stretty News takes a look at three things we learned from the disappointing draw.
Jadon Sancho is the way forward
The 21-year-old winger has endured a troublesome start to life at Manchester United but against Everton, he finally had his breakthrough. Sancho was introduced as a second-half substitute and immediately looked like his side’s best player.
He was electric against Ben Godfrey on his wing and more often than not, the Everton defender was left chasing shadows. Solskjaer will hope Sancho’s impressive cameo signals a change in fortunes for the star.

Solskjaer will regret Cristiano Ronaldo gamble
It was a brave call to leave Ronaldo out of his starting eleven and ultimately, Solskjaer will hope he didn’t. Ronaldo had scored five goals in five appearances since his return to the club but against Everton, he was restricted to an appearance off the bench.
Ronaldo’s pedigree as a goalscorer wasn’t overlooked by Solskjaer, as he was full of praise of the 36-year-old prior to the game. Clearly, it was down to conditioning but it leaves one wondering, could he not have played a greater part in the game?
Anthony Martial gets his break
It’s been a tough 12 months for Martial. Nearly exactly one year ago, he was sent off against Tottenham and that season unraveled quickly for the 25-year-old. He scored just four goals last season and missed this summer’s European Championship through injury.
Undoubtedly, the goal against Everton will prove to be a huge boost in his confidence as he prepares to go away with France once again. Solskjaer will hope he rediscovers the form he showed two years ago when he became United’s ‘player of the season’.
