Jadon Sancho is set to join Manchester United this summer after the club announced it has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over his transfer. The winger will undergo a medical after this summer’s European Championship in order to complete the deal.
The 21-year-old was also handed his first start of England in the tournament last week, featuring for the entire 90 minutes as Gareth Southgate’s side comfortably beat Ukraine 4-0.
Sancho spent four years at Borussia Dortmund after leaving Manchester City and Alf-Inge Haaland, who reacted to the news on Twitter, has been joined by his son, Erling, in expressing their feelings on Sancho’s imminent move to Old Trafford.
Sancho posted a picture of himself smiling on the social media platform (as seen above), with some fans suggesting it indicates another start could be in the pipeline, and Haaland quickly commented with a sad emoji.
The response is likely referencing Sancho’s departure from Borussia Dortmund, having struck a lethal partnership with the Norwegian forward during their 18 months together in Germany.
