Manchester United reach total agreement with Real Madrid over transfer – report

Raphael Varane has been strongly linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer. And with France now out of the Euros, it sounds like talks are already underway.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who suggest Manchester United and Real Madrid have reached a ‘total’ agreement for the world-class defender.

The tweet below translates: “The AGREEMENT between UNITED and REAL MADRID for VARANE is total”

You would think now that Varane is no longer focused on Euro 2020, a transfer to his next destination (unless he does a U-turn and signs an extension at the Bernabeu) is likely to quicken up.

We know from experience how deals involving United take their time, and I reckon the board wants to get Jadon Sancho over the line first before evaluating the damage done to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer kitty.

United are also in a position where they need to sell certain players. That’s what it will take for the Glazer family to free up more spending cash — as they don’t want anything to change how they can strip the club for annual dividends.

Let us know in the comments section if you think Varane will end up at United this summer?
