BVB give Manchester United fresh ultimatum over Jadon Sancho transfer

Manchester United have yet to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund, who have no handed the Premier League club a transfer ultimatum.

The Bundesliga club want to get the deal across the line as soon as possible, so that they can prepare a replacement for Jadon Sancho, who has been one of their best players for the best part of three years.

Sources close to the player have told Stretty News that they expect Sancho to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, and club suits at the German club are not saying otherwise. In fact, they are probably surprised that United have no settled the deal yet because the demands are no ludicrous for a highly talented youngster.

Last summer United failed to acquire the winger without making any official bids. They were told to complete the deal by a certain date — which passed before the transfer story was put to bed for 12 months.

And it sounds like Dortmund are ready to challenge United with another transfer deadline.

The Mirror cites reports from Germany stating that Dortmund have demanded £77m plus add-ons for Sancho and want the deal done before July 23.

Optimism is growing at Old Trafford around a deal, but so far none of the first two bids have been accepted. We’ve got at least one month to do this.
