We look forward to tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Everton, and the next Premier League match versus Leicester City on Boxing Day. The league looks promising as it stands but this is where we urge the team to show consistency — but an away trip to Leicester won’t be an easy contest.
The Reds were excellent against Leeds but defensive errors reappear on a weekly basis. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must raise this with the board and try to sort something out in the January transfer window.
The lads agree that Solskjaer needs to win a trophy this season, but we look at where United are after two years under the Norwegian.
Beating Everton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals would be a good step towards doing that. Manchester City knocked Arsenal out of the competition last night, which will be a minor blow to every side in the semi-final draw because of how poor the Gunners look under Mikel Arteta.
It still hurts that they beat us this season. I won’t be getting over that anytime soon!
Anyhow we’ve got reasons to be happy this Christmas. Or are we talking too soon about a side that has dropped due to inconsistency so many times in recent history?
