Gary Neville calls on Pogba to react to agent comments

Mino Raiola has claimed that Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United is over.

We covered the quotes on the blog yesterday and explained to readers that Raiola’s comments were hardly surprising, but the timing of the announcement — ahead of the team’s biggest game of the season to date against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League — is appalling to say the least.

Aggressive tactics from a notorious agent is what the club is having to deal with now, and if Pogba has any respect he would detach himself from his agent’s comments.

On Monday night, Gary Neville reacted to what Raiola said by taking to Twitter: “Mino Raiola — it’s happened many times before, However, surely Paul Pogba knew he was making this announcement?

“If he wasn’t aware then we should see a quote from him very soon correcting his agent. Finally, to do this ahead of RB Leipzig and the Manchester derby is terrible timing for the team.”

Raiola and Pogba both seem happy to jeopardise United’s season, but if these steps help find him a new club maybe it’s not the worst thing.

Manchester United can’t continue with this circus like approach from Raiola and his players.

The biggest question ahead of tonight’s Champions League decider against Leipzig will be whether Pogba starts or not. That debate is becoming a regular one and I no longer think the Frenchman is worth the hassle he brings to the table.

Let us know in the comment section why you think Pogba’s return to United hasn’t gone to plan?
