November internationals: Schedule for Manchester United players

Keep track of each Manchester United player during the international break with Stretty News.

There’s a lot going on in the international football world, with four European Championship places still up for grabs, while the UEFA Nations League group stage is coming to a close. Some countries have World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifying too.

Ethan Galbraith (Northern Ireland) and Scott McTominay (Scotland) have Euro 2021 qualifying play-offs to look forward to, as well as Nations League fixtures. Northern Ireland face Slovakia and Scotland take on Serbia to book a place in next summer’s competition.

The Northern Ireland youngster was recently compared to legendary Barcelona duo Andres Iniesta and Xavi by his manager at international level.

McTominay, on the other hand, has become a real influence in United’s midfield and is one of the first names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team sheet most weeks.

Gareth Southgate left Mason Greenwood out of his England squad after a phone call with Solskjaer, who is concerned with the youngster, as per The Athletic. However, Dean Henderson, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford have all been included. England face the Republic of Ireland in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday before clashing with Belgium and Iceland in the Nations League.

Perhaps the biggest tie of the international break sees Bruno Fernandes’ Portugal take on France — represented by Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial — with both sides level on top of Group A3 with 10 points each. France will also be looking for a win against Victor Lindelof’s Sweden on Sunday. The United centre-back will not be involved against Denmark due to quarantine rules.

The Netherlands entertain Bosnia & Herzegovina and Poland, so we’ll be hoping to see Donny van de Beek do what he does best… and by that I mean play football.

David de Gea is expected to keep his place between the goalposts for Spain when they take on Switzerland away before hosting Germany.

Meanwhile, Welsh duo Daniel James and Dylan Levitt know a win over the Republic of Ireland and a point against Finland will be enough to see them promoted to the top tier.

Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani could go head-to-head on Tuesday, when Uruguay play Brazil in what will be an extremely entertaining match-up. If the former PSG striker can get some minutes under his belt he should arrived back to Manchester fitter and ready to start a game or two over the next month.
