Misleading reports suggest Man United have already agreed 5-year deal with Alex Telles

RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi claims Alex Telles has agreed a 5-year contract with Manchester United.

His tweet suggests United will now work to agree on a fee with FC Porto, as that would be the next step in the negotiation process, but an Old Trafford source has downplayed the speculation to Stretty News.

There is no 5-year agreement with Telles.

That’s not to say the club are not in the process of making a move, as Stretty News writer Leah Smith claims Telles’ preference is to join United after PSG had an offer worth €15m turned down for his signature.

On top of that, FC Porto have seemingly already identified a replacement for Telles and will consider a move for Wolves’ Ruben Vinagre.

United have made just one signing so far this season with Donny van de Beek arriving from Ajax. The fans seek a lot more encouragement from the board, so you can only imagine what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thinking.

Telles will offer more competition at left-back which can only be a good thing. Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams will get better for it.
