Video: Ashley Young reveals reasons behind Man United exit

Former Manchester United left-back Ashley Young has revealed the reasons behind his departure after nine years at Old Trafford.

Young, 35, joined up with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan back in January and has revealed that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted he would be unable to offer the full-back as much game time going into next season.

The experienced Englishman admitted that as he is approached the end of his career, he wanted to be playing as much and as often as possible which became a deciding factor in his decision to leave United.

Since Young’s arrival at Inter Milan, the Italian club pushed on to achieve an impressive second place finish in Serie A and are currently preparing to take on Shakhtar Donetsk later this evening in the Europa League semi-finals.
