Tottenham set Harry Kane asking price after Man Utd transfer stance revealed

Harry Kane raised plenty of questions over his future at Tottenham Hotspur after failing to commit his long-term future to the club in a recent Instagram live.

The England captain claimed he would consider leaving Spurs if they could not match his ambitions.

However, as reported by the Daily Mail, Kane is unlikely to complete a transfer elsewhere with Tottenham slapping a £200m price tag on their prized asset.

In a transfer window that is expected to be quiet due to financial hits clubs are taking because of coronavirus, this astronomical value is set to put off even the most wealthy potential suitors.

The Mail’s report claims Spurs are well aware of Kane’s outlook on his career and desire to win silverware. But it appears the striker would have to force a transfer if a move was to take place.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer requires a deadly striker this summer and they don’t come much more prolific than Kane.

The 26-year-old has scored 136 Premier League goals and will go down as one of the best finishers England have produced.

But according to Manchester Evening News, United are realistic about their ‘remote’ chances of signing Kane this summer.

Kane may be seen by Solskjaer as the perfect number 9 in his assemble, but the Norwegian will need to explore other possibilities such as Lyon’s Moussa Dembele or RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
