Europa League: Man Utd draw Club Brugge in round of 32

Manchester United have been drawn against Club Brugge in the Europa League round of 32, with the first leg set to take place in Belgium on 20 February before the second leg at Old Trafford on 27 February.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side qualified as group winners with four wins, one draw and one defeat over their six games in Group L which in theory means they were set for an ‘easier’ tie than if they had finished runners-up.

We definitely got one of the easier teams and shouldn’t have any problems progressing.

Man Utd should be aiming to go all the way in this season’s competition and that would secure a place in 2020/21 Champions League.

Back in 2015, United booked their place in the Champions League after beating Brugge in the play-offs (7-1 agg). The first leg will be remembered as Memphis Depay’s best performance in a United shirt as he scored a brace in the 3-1 win.

We’ll be hoping for a similar scoreline this time around but with the clean sheet!
