Manchester United player ratings vs Huddersfield: Luke Shaw 3/10, while Tahith Chong shows promise from bench

Hopes of finishing in the top four are dead and buried after Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield.

It was a shambles of a display and below we’ve gone through the hassle of rating each player, probably doing more in the last 15 minutes than they did over the course of 90 minutes.

Let us know if you agree or disagree with any of the ratings below.

David de Gea – 6

Decent save late in the first half, should have done better with the equaliser.

Ashley Young – 4

If you overlook how everything he did was appalling, he had a decent game.

Victor Lindelof – 7

Simply the only capable defender we have.

Phil Jones – 3

I wish he’d gone missing when David Moyes did.

Luke Shaw – 3

If a pub league defender had played as he did for the equaliser, they’d be getting battered. Pathetic!!

Nemanja Matic – 3

He could try to be more lethargic, but I doubt he can be arsed.

Scott McTominay – 6

This’s where we’re at now…… we have a player that actually runs about like they all should, and we worship him for it.

Paul Pogba – 4

On the form he showed when Ole arrived, he could have beaten Huddersfield on his own, but on this form, he was an asset to them.

Juan Mata – 5

Started brightly, but faded as Huddersfield cape into the game.

Alexis Sanchez – 3

Genuinely look a worse signing with every touch of the ball.

Marcus Rashford – 4

Looks like he used his last ounce of energy in March.

Ander Herrera – 5

Calmed us down and got us moving the ball well again.

Tahith Chong – 6

Such a bright future for a lad the plays with huge confidence and enthusiasm.

Diogo Dalot – 5

Did a bit, but no time to have any impact.
