Well-wishes flood in for the greatest manager of all-time following emergency surgery

Football is full of debates; Messi or Ronaldo, Pele or Maradona, but there’s no question marks over Sir Alex Ferguson being the greatest football manager of all-time.

Ferguson is currently recovering in hospital following emergency surgery after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

The former Manchester United manager, who kept the Old Trafford hot seat for the best part of 26-years, remains in a serious condition, having been rushed to hospital on Friday after complaining about feeling unwell.

In a brief statement, as per ManUtd.com, Manchester United announced that the procedure had “gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter.”

Forever regarded as one of the most respected figures in world football, Fergie has received well-wishes from former players and rivals.
