Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has given an update on Axel Tuanzebe’s injury ahead of their Championship clash with Leeds United.
The former Manchester United defender thinks the game has come too soon for Tuanzebe but Villa need to get him back to full fitness with John Terry also ruled out.
Speaking to the press ahead of the game, Bruce said: “Axel Tuanzebe twisted his ankle and I don’t think he will make it yet, we need to get him back to full fitness.”

While the promising young defender made his Premier League debut for United last season, he was sent on loan in January after being stuck down the pecking order.
He started for Villa midweek but got injured just 26 minutes into their 1-0 win over Cardiff City. It was his fifth start of his loan spell.
Still, Villa were able to rally and go on to keep a clean sheet.
