Ella Toone has fired Manchester United into the lead in the FA Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur with an absolutely sublime finish.
A cagey first half at Wembley had the two sides ready to enter the interval with the scoreline tied at 0-0 until Toone stepped up to break the deadlock in some fashion.
The attack was started by skipper Katie Zelem deep in her own half as Spurs looked to quickly retreat and cover the space available to United’s frontline.
There was little they could do to prevent the No.7’s strike, though, as Toone slipped inside two opponents to make enough room to dispatch her long-range shot from around 25 yards out, which rose and travelled all the way into the top corner. A truly unstoppable hit.
Provided they can hang on or even, hopefully, add to their lead, United are now 45 minutes away from claiming their first major trophy.
TOONEY, THAT'S UNBELIEVABLE 😱🤯
