Scott McTominay qualifies for Euro 2024 with Scotland

Scott McTominay will be jetting off to Germany next summer to represent Scotland in Euro 2024.

The Tartan Army booked their place in the tournament after Spain defeated Norway 1-0 this evening, meaning Steve Clarke’s side qualified with two games to spare.

Manchester United star McTominay played a crucial role in his nation’s journey to qualification; in six matches, the midfielder contributed six goals and one assist, making him one of the highest goalscorers at this stage of the competition.

Prior to the international break, he was also a match-winning hero for United, as he netted two injury-time goals to seal a much-needed win against Brentford at home.

Numerous Reds have also contributed to their countries sealing their fate for Euro 2024; Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes have qualified with Portugal and Altay Bayindir has with Turkey. Germany, France, Belgium and Spain have already made the cut, too.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag’s squad return to action on Saturday with an away trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United.
