Rafael Da Silva would ‘love’ to see Camavinga join Manchester United

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Rennes starlet Eduardo Camavinga this summer.

The France international, 18, is one of the midfielders being tracked by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as we learned during a recent podcast with respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Camavinga is out of contract next summer and there are suggestions he could leave Rennes this summer for €30million.

It will eventually come down to what the player wants to do, but I can understand frustration on United’s part after missing out on Jude Bellingham last year.

And now they are keen on another potentially amazing midfield star.

Former United full-back Rafael Da Silva has endorsed a move after appearing on the Talking Devils podcast.

He said: “In his first season he was amazing… just incredible at 17. Then, like me, like normally happens with younger guys, he dropped a little last season. But this is normal, it’s what comes with adapting to pressure.

“Camavinga is a very good midfielder and I’d love to see him at United.”

According to The Athletic, United have scouted Camavinga for a couple of season but this is a player who does not have a shortage of suitors.

Declan Rice and Saul Niguez are two other midfielders in United’s gossip columns this summer.
