Hull City line up Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer reunion

Manchester United are prepared to sell Toby Collyer for as little as £3million, with Hull City interested in a reunion before next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

talkSPORT’s Alex Crook reported that Hull believe the 22-year-old is available for that cut-price fee, a claim relayed by The Sun. Collyer was warned in pre-season that he does not have a future at Old Trafford, and Michael Carrick is willing to let him leave for a reduced fee.

Why United are willing to sell

Carrick completed the signing of Carlos Baleba from Brighton on Tuesday, following the earlier arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans. Those additions have pushed Collyer further down the midfield pecking order.

He was not included in the matchday squad when United’s Under-21s began their domestic season with a 5-0 win over Ipswich this week.

Hull interested as West Brom also monitor situation

Collyer knows Hull well, having spent the second half of last season on loan there as they secured promotion through the play-offs. Injury restricted him to five appearances. Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic has a reunion with Collyer in his sights after adding him to his list of late targets.

West Brom, where Collyer spent the first half of last season on loan before being recalled by United, have also been showing interest in a deal.
