Real Madrid left it late to produce a dramatic comeback in their 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Ballon d’Or frontrunner Vinicius Jr grabbed the headlines once again after scoring a hat-trick to turn the game in Real Madrid’s favour.
Dortmund took the lead through Donyell Malen in the 30th minute and they doubled their lead just four minutes later thanks to Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. It gave the German side a seemingly comfortable lead but you can never write of Los Blancos in European competition.
Real Madrid’s scoring spree started as Antonio Rudiger got on the end of a sublime Kylian Mbappe cross. The star of the show Vinicius Jr pulled them level two minutes later.
Momentum had left Dortmund at this stage and Madrid knew they were there for taking as Lucas Vazquez scored and Vinicius Jr added two more goals to his tally.

Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho was quick to post a comment on Vinicius Jr’s Instagram post last night.
Vinicius Jr’s post celebrated the win as well as his performance as Garnacho described him as a “big inspiration”.
Garnacho is also known to be a Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy, so we can see from his inspirations that he aspires to be at the very top of his game. We hope it isn’t long before the Argentina international can enjoy Champions League nights at Old Trafford.
