Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has hit back at former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney who previously criticised the Frenchman’s attitude claiming he danced after a defeat.

It is no secret that Paul Pogba had a turbulent time during his time at Old Trafford with the media often criticising Pogba’s performances in a Manchester United shirt.

The former Juventus star made a dramatic return to Old Trafford in 2016 under Jose Mourinho in an £89 million move.

The Frenchman is set to return to football after seeing his four-year ban for doping reduced to 18 months with Pogba considering his options with a Juventus exit on the cards.

It remains to be seen what the next chapter is for Pogba but the French star has reflected on his second spell at Old Trafford.

The former Red Devil has interviewed with SkySports with him set for a return to action in the coming months.

During the interview, Pogba discussed several aspects of his career including his time at Old Trafford.

The former World Cup winner seemed unhappy with Rooney’s dressing room comments and decided to give his side of the story.

Speaking to SkySports, Pogba said: “I want to clarify something because I’ve been hearing stuff that Wayne Rooney once said we lost a game and me and Jesse [Lingard] were dancing in the changing room.

“We always need another opinion, a witness on this, ok. So if somebody can confirm what Wayne Rooney said when we were in the changing room, I will accept it, but if there is not it means it’s not true, and when did Jesse Lingard tell you, did Jesse Lingard confirm that, or did I ever confirm that because I am someone that is a very bad loser and I respect what I do, I respect the club.

“After a game we lose, I come into the dressing room putting music (on) and Wayne Rooney, the legend of this club is sitting there and not saying nothing to us. Does it match? Do you think it matches?

“Nobody in the club comes and says nothing to us about dancing after we lose a game.”
