Mark Goldbridge slams match-going Manchester United fans in nonsense Telegraph interview

Mark Goldbridge may be a secret Nottingham Forest fan, but that did not stop him from creating an empire (The United Stand) on YouTube, where he acts as a Manchester United supporter.

Latching on to all the negativity that surrounds the club, Goldbridge financially benefits from his live streams containing sensationalist titles to lure the vulnerable into his premeditated rants.

Goldbridge is modern football’s sorry answer for Alan Partridge.

Steve Coogan acts as Partridge similarly to how Brent Di Cesare (his real name) acts as Goldbridge.

The United Stand is closing in on two million subscribers, while another 1.26 million follow That’s Football, which is also owned by Goldbridge.

In a bizarre attack on genuine match-going fans, the often misleading YouTuber has spoken to The Telegraph about his disdain for the club’s most faithful supporters.

The 45-year-old, who often streams himself playing video games, claims those who support United by attending matches share awful opinions. It’s an insulting generalisation and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

“I’ve been to Old Trafford a few times and sat with people who go every week and I don’t know why they go,” Goldbridge told The Telegraph.

“Their opinions are awful, but that’s just the diversity of football, isn’t it?”

It’s known that Goldbridge doesn’t go to games, so, there’s a degree of irony from The Telegraph’s headline.

I wonder if they called him Mark rather than Brent?

Why not focus on his love for Nottingham Forest?

  1. Did anyone expect something sensible from the Telegraph? Any ‘awful’ United fans will only be those who subscribe to a Channel where they can hear what a Forest fan thinks of our Club. Why would you?

  2. Mark with over 3 million followers.
Dale with an occasional 2 to 3 eye rolling article readers.
Jealous and petty much? Then again, one is 45 and the other is 12.

  3. This is an insane hit piece with all the journalistic integrity of a penguin reporting on climate change. What’s the point? You could well be open to a defamation case here, it comes across to the layperson as actual malice
