The Glazers will donate a seven-figure sum to Hurricane Helene relief efforts following the natural disaster event in Florida this week.
Winds as high as 140 miles per hour swept through the state, causing mass damage with more than 40 confirmed deaths at the time of writing.
Massive rains from powerful Hurricane Helene left people stranded, without shelter and awaiting rescue.
NFL franchise the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, based in Florida, are owned by the Glazers. The club is set to donate $1 million to recovery efforts and non-profit organisations supporting those impacted by the devastation.
A statement from the NFL outfit read: “The Glazer family has pledged $1million to support local nonprofit organizations aiding those most impacted by Hurricane Helene. The donation will be allocated to support local agencies involved in relief efforts across Tampa Bay.”
It’s not often we hear of the Glazes doing something positive, but this time they are trying to make a welcome difference at least.
