While not getting ahead of themselves, Manchester United fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Marcus Rashford’s confidence continues growing the way it has throughout September.
Against Southampton a fortnight ago, the forward finally put an end to his prolonged wait to open his account for the season, doing so with a scintillating strike at St. Mary’s.
Rashford proceeded to notch a brace and an assist in the subsequent Carabao Cup triumph over Barnsley, enjoying a stellar showing across the night as the Reds trumped the visitors 7-0.
He was made to settle for an off-the-bench cameo at Selhurst Park over the weekend but returned to the starting XI for tonight’s Europa League opener versus FC Twente and, in the first half, displayed a remarkable piece of skill to beat his opponent with an elastico nutmeg.
