Manchester United will take on Leicester City at Old Trafford in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup next month.
The fixtures for the fourth round were drawn tonight following the conclusion of Liverpool’s meeting with West Ham, which sadly ended in a 5-1 victory for Arne Slot’s side.
United’s clash with the Foxes represents a Premier League matchup and it will be played in the week commencing 28 October. It will be our first meeting against the newly promoted side since February 2023, when we beat them 3-0 at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag will be hoping for a similar result this time around. His side were held to a 1-1 draw against FC Twente in their Europa League opener on Wednesday night, prior to the Carabao Cup draw.
United reached the fourth round by beating Barnsley convincingly in the previous round, after putting seven goals past the League One side.
The Reds can expect a tricker affair against Leicester City.
Full fourth-round draw
- Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday
- Southampton v Stoke City
- Tottenham Hotspur v Man City
- AFC Wimbledon/Newcastle v Chelsea
- Manchester United v Leicester City
- Brighton v Liverpool
- Preston North End v Arsenal
- Aston Villa v Crystal Palace
