Manchester United star set for Crystal Palace clash after Ten Hag decision

Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund looks set to make his return from injury in Manchester United’s away trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

Rasmus Hojlund looks set for his first action of the season after being sidelined from a hamstring issue picked up in pre-season against Arsenal.

The Danish striker will be eager to make a return as he competes with summer signing Joshua Zirkzee for a starting role up front for the Red Devils.

It is a much-anticipated return with the former Atalanta striker possessing a different profile to other attacking options for Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag discussed the potential return of Mason Mount and Hojlund in an injury update in his Crystal Palace press conference.

Hojlund looks set to return to action after Manchester Evening News reporter Steven Railston gave an update on X.

On X Railston said: “Rasmus Hojlund has been included in the United squad to face Crystal Palace tomorrow”

The Dane will be hoping he can get up to speed quickly to improve on his 16-goal tally in his debut season.

The 21-year-old opted to change his shirt number this season by taking up the vacant number nine shirt after Anthony Martial departed in the summer.

It remains to be seen if Mount is fit for the trip to Selhurst Park but it looks like Hojlund is ready to return for Ten Hag’s Red Devils.
