The international break has come to an end for many Manchester United players, so it’s time to prepare ourselves to face Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Russell Martin’s side welcome the Reds on their home turf with ambitions of getting their first points on the board, after losing the opening three matches of the Premier League season.

Sadly, United haven’t been much better with just three points to show from a possible nine.

Definite updates on players’ fitness updates aren’t expected until tomorrow when Erik ten Hag speaks to the press. We are expecting updates on Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund, who we can only hope are nearing a return.

With that in mind, United have a total of six doubts and absentees for the trip to St. Mary’s. The other players include Victor Lindelof, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and Tyrell Malacia.

Bruno Fernandes picked up a “little bump” in Portugal’s win over Scotland.

After playing two games for Uruguay during the international break, United fans will hope to see new signing Manuel Ugarte for the first time.

We will have more team news from Ten Hag on Thursday evening.
