Video: Steve McClaren intrigued to learn Jamaican lingo at training

There have been many memes posted about Steve McClaren attempting a Jamaican accent, but we’ve now got a video of the former Manchester United assistant manager learning the lingo used by locals.

The 63-year-old has wasted no time trying to adopt a local twang, as he once did during his time at FC Twente, after being introduced to Erik ten Hag who he’d later work with at Old Trafford.

Back in 2008, shortly after taking charge of the Eredivisie side, McClaren produced an iconic moment when he attempted to sound Dutch during a press conference.

It had football fans across the world in stitches laughing.

Now, McClaren is trying his hand at some Jamaican Patois, the local dialect.

It was all captured during an interview with the Reggae Boyz’ media team.

McClaren’s puzzled face makes it content worth remembering.
