Report: Sir Jim Ratcliffe sets Erik ten Hag deadline to save Manchester United job

Manchester United boss has reportedly been told by Sir Jim Ratcliffe that his days are numbered at Old Trafford unless he can quickly turn around results and showcase a stronger standard of football.

It has been a disappointing start to the new season for Erik ten Hag with Manchester United collecting three points from a possible nine in the opening three weeks of the Premier League.

The Red Devils secured a 1-0 win against Fulham through a Joshua Zirkzee debut goal on the opening day.

However, it was a far from convincing performance with form in the following fixtures leading to back-to-back defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion and bitter rivals Liverpool.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe was in attendance at Old Trafford for the embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Liverpool last Sunday.

Ratcliffe will be looking to the former Ajax boss to quickly impress after the current international break.

Manchester United face a trip to Saint Mary’s to face Russel Martin’s newly promoted side Southampton before tough tests against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and a visit to Old Trafford from Tottenham Hotspur.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has given a four-week warning to Erik ten Hag

Pressure on Ten Hag is undoubtedly mounting with the footballing structure keen on avoiding a similar league campaign to United’s 8th-place finish last year.

According to Givemesport, Ratcliffe has set a deadline for the Dutch Coach to show he can impress and fight for his job.

Givemesport writer Steve Bates states: “Insiders say the Dutchman has just four more Premier League games to save his job with Ratcliffe and his new layer of management around and above Ten Hag wanting progress not promises.

“United’s trip to Russel Martin’s newly-promoted Southampton after the international break is simply a must-win game.

And any repeat of the embarrassing 4-0 debacle that unfolded at Crystal Palace last season when United travel to Selhurst Park on September 21 might even trigger instant change.”

  1. Eric Te hang, has lack of tactics, not technical enough to have his players with lots of flexibilities.

No passion of dominance from the coach, always signing players with likness mindset and not the quality that a player can fit into Manchester United style of play.

    Making wrong substitutions everytime

Always having a style of plays that put the midfield and the team in jeopardy

Playing players out of their natural positions and expecting good results from his style of play, why does such a coach that Claims to be highly experienced do plays such style of insane tactics in this 21st century of modern days football

Every average club managers are trying their best to play a good style of football ⚽️ to improve his football teams, Such a coach as ETH who claims to be highly experienced is dragging down the most well respected football club/team backwards

Something must be fishy about such a manager 🤔

Ever since the arrival of ETH Manchester United haven’t been able to smile away with lots of comfortable wins, but rather losses of games are the most recognised

He has to pave way for a better and well experienced manager full of hunger of dominace towards opponents to come in and step up the the Manchester United football games, and take us back to our glory days.

    Enough is Enough

  2. When Sir Rafcliffe retained Ten Hag after a dismal performance last season , I knew that decision would come to haunt him ,I just didn’t think it would be so soon . Any more slip ups definitely would render Ten Hag redundant . He still can pull a rabbit out of his sleeves and restore the trust that the Ineos team have banked on him .

  3. Player’s need to play football they get paid a lot of money to do it so they need to get on with it

  4. Ten Hag is stubborn as can be when it comes to selecting a strong XI and 2 and a bit years on still no identity from back to front let’s wait and see after the international break I surely hope it will work out for him just bench Rashy for a few games let him come on from the bench all the best GGMU all the way

  5. Eric ten hag should sack from the job he cannot afford to bring successful team performance than bring shameful players
And should replace urgently Carrick or Zidane
Either those two coaches can replace him
Otherwise we are tired of supporting Manchester utd
