‘Special feeling’ – Fan favourite gives honest verdict of Manchester United culture

Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez has opened up on his time at Old Trafford and revealed his first impressions of becoming a Red Devil in 2022.

Lisandro Martinez quickly became a fan favourite at Old Trafford with his passionate and aggressive playing style.

The Argentina international has been keen to be successful at Old Trafford after securing a World Cup, League Cup, and FA Cup since arriving in Manchester.

Martinez may be short in stature but makes up for it in character and leadership.

The 26-year-old was absent for the majority of the last campaign through injury and was a huge miss in Erik ten Hag’s side.

His ability to play out from the back and play in a high line is pivotal for Ten Hag’s playing- style and the Dutch coach will be hoping Martinez can play a vital role in improving results this year.

The World Cup winner is currently away with Argentina during the international break but has spoken to the media about his Manchester United career.

Martinez has been a big character for the Red Devils during the Ten Hag era with the former Ajax man often vocal on the pitch.

The Red Devils star has been speaking to the local press during the international break.

Speaking to La Nacion, Martinez said:

“When I set foot in United’s training centre in Carrington, I felt something special.

“We’re going to win here, that’s what I felt. Like electricity, a strong energy of glory. Something that motivated me a lot.

“This is a place to win, I told myself.

“Well, we’ve already won two very important titles in two seasons, but we have to keep growing to reach our goal, which is to become what Manchester has always been, one of the very great teams, one of the best in the world.”
