Anthony Martial has yet to find a new football club after being released by Manchester United at the beginning of the summer.

The 28-year-old remains a free agent but has been linked with a few different clubs during the summer transfer window.

Atalanta and Lille have been linked with Martial in recent weeks.

Greek outlet SPORT24 claims AEK Athens are the latest suitors for the forward having approached the player within the last week.

The proposed offer surpasses the amount earned by the club’s top earner Erik Lamela, who previously played for Tottenham Hotspur.

Lamela earns approximately €2 million per year at AEK Athens.

Martial will be taking a pay cut regardless because no club – bar those in Saudi Arabia – will match the salary he pocketed at United.

The report adds that the Frenchman is understood to be unsure about the prospect of moving to the Greek Super League at the age of 28, which in turn gives the impression that he won’t be interested in moving to the Saudi Pro League either.
