Boost for Chelsea in Sancho chase; Juventus pursuit on stand-by

Jadon Sancho has had no shortage of interest in the closing days of the January transfer window.

Chelsea and Juventus have both knocked on United’s door with interest in signing the winger, although the proposals vary, with the Reds prioritising a permanent sale over loan offers.

Juventus sold Federico Chiesa to Liverpool, making it appear that Sancho would replace the Italian in Turin. It was believed that Juventus wanted Sancho on loan, with talk of a potential deal including an obligation to buy clause.

However, nothing has materialised yet and Juventus have a lot of work to do to complete the signing on deadline day.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the chances of seeing Sancho at Juventus are decreasing amidst the club’s difficulties in getting rid of Arthur Melo and Filip Kostic.

That puts the Sancho operation on stand-by for Juventus. It is understood that the costs involved in any deal are considered too onerous.

Transfer expect Fabrizio Romano provided the same update on X, stating that Juventus’ pursuit of Sancho could only change with more sales in the final hours of the market. Or if United drop their valuation demands for the player.

Could this mean boost Chelsea’s chances of signing Sancho?
