Ivory Coast names 25-man squad for upcoming internationals; Manchester United star included

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has been rewarded for a strong start to the season.

After showing flashes of what he is capable of towards the end of last season, Erik ten Hag set a challenge for Amad and it looks like he is going to get plenty of opportunities to perform this term.

Amad started the first two games of the season – against Fulham and Brighton – and his goal against the latter could force his way into the line-up to face rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

These performances have been rewarded at international level with Amad getting a call up to the Ivory Coast squad for the upcoming internationals.

The Federation Ivoirienne de Football announced via Facebook their squad, with Amad included among the forward players.

It is Amad’s first international call-up since March 2021.

After seeing Facundo Pellistri sold this summer, Amad knows what will happen if he doesn’t live up to expectations at United. At least it looks like he is on the right pathway by performing better than some of our other attacking players.
