Scott McTominay is attracting interest from Napoli in the final days of the summer transfer market, however, there could be interest brewing from a club a lot closer to home.
The prospect of joining one of Europe’s other top leagues may excite McTominay. It remains to be seen if he is willing to stay and fight for his place at United, or whether he’ll join a new club in search of a star role elsewhere.
Football Insider claims Everton are considering a move for McTominay this summer. United have already rejected three offers from Fulham but Napoli are believed to be leading the race to sign the versatile midfielder.
It is believed that Fulham’s final offer was worth £23 million but it wasn’t enough to convince United to sell.
The Toffees have financial problems but they could be able to tempt United with an offer they’ve yet to receive for McTominay.
McTominay scored 10 goals across all competitions for United this season. His importance in Ten Hag’s side is evident, however, he is not a starting player and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
