Italian midfielder aged 31 offered to Manchester United among other Premier League clubs

Manchester United would sell Casemiro if they could find a buyer willing to meet their demands. The last thing we need to do is to add another midfielder set to turn 32 to the squad.

The Reds are among the clubs that have been ‘offered the chance’ to sign Al-Arabi SC midfielder Marco Verratti, according to a report by HITC.

It is understood that ‘intermediaries have contacted’ several clubs to see if they would be interested in signing the experienced Italian.

The Premier League clubs contacted include Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and United.

Verratti is currently playing his football in Qatar, which is not a market United usually shop in, although he is known for his 11-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain.

The time to sign Verratti was 7/8 years ago, not now. He turns 32 in November.

There was a time when Verratti was seen as one of the best midfielders in the world, but those days are long gone. He hasn’t got the legs he once had and I don’t think his potential additional will benefit us greatly.
