Manchester United announced two new signings this week but business is far from done.

According to Manchester World, United are considering two more signings before transfer deadline day after adding Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to the squad.

It takes the number of signings United have made this summer to four, with Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee joining the club earlier this summer.

The report adds that United’s priority is to sign a new midfielder in the final fortnight of the transfer window.

However, the club is also keeping tabs on left-back targets while another attack has also been considered but deemed unlikely. They are believed to be looking at free agent and loan deals at full-back, with former Chelsea and Barcelona star Marcos Alonso open to the club.

United have been chasing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte all summer, although it remains to be seen if Jorge Mendes can help both clubs to reach an agreement.

Other midfielders linked with a move to United include Burnley’s Sander Berge as well as AS Monaco star Youssouf Fofana, who is attracting significant interest from AC Milan.
