Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe has played with enough quality players to be able to spot one in the modern game.

The retired England international played with some fantastic players during his time at United, which ranged between 1988-1996, before he eventually signed for Leeds.

Along with Ryan Giggs, Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson, Sharpe was part of the start of Sir Alex Ferguson’s successful reign as manager.

In an interview with Highest Payout Online Casino, as cited by the Manchester Evening News, Sharpe urged his former club to sign the PSG midfielder.

Sharpe claims to have seen ‘bits’ of Ugarte at PSG and he thinks the Uruguay international would be a ‘great fit’ in midfield for Erik ten Hag’s side.

He said: “I’ve seen bits of Manuel Ugarte at PSG, which I thought was a done deal to Manchester United at one point. I still think he’d be a great fit in midfield for the club this season so would like to see that move happen. I think Casemiro is going to have to be at his best playing in midfield this season. It’s a brutal league to win games in. Everyone is so powerful, so fit, you can’t carry any passengers. There’s no doubting his footballing ability, he can see the pass early and break things down really well. I think the only question mark around him is his legs and his ability to get around the pitch which is filled by quicker players around him. Casemiro did struggle a bit last season and I’m just wondering whether Erik ten Hag has seen something in him in preseason and if he’s got him a little bit fitter, dropping a bit of weight and looking a bit sharper. I wouldn’t be upset if Casemiro was the starting central defensive midfielder, though, this season, with Toby Collyer helping him out every so often. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, if Casemiro goes and they bring someone new in like Ugarte.”

United are still trying to pursue a deal to sign Ugarte, in what has been a summer long pursuit, but PSG need to lower their valuation first.

A lot could happen in the final two weeks of the summer transfer window.

It is understood that personal terms were agreed between both parties last month and he has since been actively pushing to make the move.

That shouldn’t come as a surprise after Ugarte lost his place in Luis Enrique’s side last season and he may not be too confident about his chances next season, with PSG open to the idea of cashing in.

  1. Now in order to be in a position to appreciate its history, it would
be extremely important for us to have a basic appreciation of the game’s mechanics.
When they win, they want to win more; but when they
lose, they want to win back their losses in the
    next game.
