Manchester United fearful Yoro faces longer than 3 months out; £50m bid prepared for centre-back

Manchester United have not given up on Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and Leny Yoro could be out for longer than three months.

It is no secret that the 22-year-old has admirers at United, who have already been the subject of two failed bids to secure Branthwaite’s signature.

Earlier this summer United made an initial offer of £35 million plus £8m in bonuses which was rejected by Everton because they reportedly want £70 million for the young defender.

United are also being forced into the market to sign a new centre-back after new signing Leny Yoro sustained a serious foot injury during the pre-season tour.

Initial reports suggested Yoro would face three months on the sidelines, but a new report from The Sun claims United don’t expect the 18-year-old to be available again until January. That means the injury is worse than first feared.

The report also states United are plotting a fresh bid for Everton’s Branthwaite.

It’s believed an offer of £50m could interest Everton, and United may be prepared to go that far in order to get their man.

Branthwaite has been priced out of a move by Everton thus far. Only time will tell if the Toffees change their tune.

  1. Are you fucking st-yoo-pid? If Everton wouldn’t sell him to you when they were in a weak position, why would they sell him to you now when they hold all the aces, and you hold NONE?
