West Ham closing in on deal to sign Manchester United defender

One of the most reliable West Ham insider accounts claims the Hammers are now close to securing a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

It has been over a month since Stretty News broke the news that talks were underway between West Ham and Wan-Bissaka’s representatives, with the player having a desire to return to London.

The saga has dragged on for quite some time which is far from ideal for either party. United want to sign a replacement but need money from sales to make it happen, while West Ham want to sign a new right-back before the new Premier League season kicks off.

It is believed that a compensation package was holding up the deal.

However, ExWHUEmployee has reported via Patreon that a pay-off is close to being agreed with United which would compensate Wan-Bissaka for the decrease in wages if he joins West Ham.

The report adds that once a final agreement is in place it should help accelerate the right-back’s imminent move to West Ham.

Personal terms won’t be an issue at this stage of the deal.

Wan-Bissaka is likely to start for West Ham at right-back next season, with Vladimir Coufal offering the former Crystal Palace defender competition in the squad.
