Predicted Manchester United line-up vs Liverpool: Amad & Amass deserve to start final US Tour friendly

The least friendly pre-season friendly in football takes place in South Carolina this weekend. Stretty News predicts the Manchester United line-up to face Liverpool as the Reds wrap up their US tour ahead of next week’s Community Shield against Man City.

There is nothing but pride on the line, but both managers will want to get through the game without any fresh injuries or niggles.

United have already lost two players for the start of the new season due to injuries picked up on pre-season. Our latest signing, Leny Yoro, has been ruled out for three months, and we’ll be without Rasmus Hojlund for at least six weeks.

In addition, Marcus Rashford and Antony were forced off with knocks against Real Betis in Wednesday’s 3-2 win. It remains to be seen if they will be fit to face Liverpool, but Erik ten Hag suggested that he won’t put any of his players at risk ahead of the competitive season.

Andre Onana will start between the posts for United.

The back four might consist Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Amass.

Casemiro is likely to keep his place in front of the defence alongside midfield duo Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount.

In attack, Ethan Wheatley may get a chance to lead the line against Liverpool. Amad Diallo is worthy of a start, while it’s another chance for Jadon Sancho to get back into the manager’s good books.

Manchester United possible line-up: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Amass; Casemiro, Eriksen, Mount; Amad, Wheately, Sancho.

Considering we are limited for selection in attack, we could also see Scott McTominay in an advanced role.

Only time will tell but feel free to share your line-up predictions in the comment section.

  1. I would like to see Will Fish start along side Maguire to see if he has what it takes to preform at a high level .
It would be also good to see Wheatley start as well and get some good service

  2. If possible I wish this comment reach LFC hierarchy. It is a shame to us to be subjected to anxiety and distress as a result of our owner’s reluctance to swim with other clubs in the transfer sea.To us it’s painful to be laughing stock of our rivals. Even small clubs have been moving while our club is stationary. I would suggest that our supporters management think deeply how the situation can be resolved in future. Whether supporter fund can be established with a view of giving support
