Manchester United were without Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro when they locked horns with Real Betis in this morning’s pre-season tour clash.
With the former expected to miss six weeks’ worth of action with a hamstring complaint and the latter out for three months with a metatarsal fracture, fans are already harbouring concerns that they may see a repeat of last term’s unprecedented injury crisis.
To add to their fears, Marcus Rashford was withdrawn from the action in the second half of the 3-2 win over the Spanish outfit. He left the fray around the 62nd-minute mark after feeling the full effects of a stern tackle and proceeded to limp off the pitch.
The forward did return to the field following the full-time whistle to applaud fans, appearing to walk freely while doing so, and has since been filmed making his way through the mixed zone and out of the Snapdragon Stadium; Laurie Whitwell claims Rashford had a ‘small limp’ while doing so.
