Manchester United predicted XI vs Real Betis: Changes at the back & up front

Erik ten Hag is expected to see the return of Victor Lindelof as Manchester United take on Real Betis in San Diego in their fourth pre-season friendly.

The Reds have lost two of their three pre-season friendlies thus far this summer.

Ten Hag’s side experienced a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg but bounced back with a 2-0 win over Rangers in Edinburgh. In the first of three friendlies to take place in the US, United lost 2-1 against Arsenal before beating in the Gunners in a penalty shootout.

Next up for United is Real Betis at 3:00 BST on Tuesday, 1 August, at the Snapdragon Stadium.

Andre Onana retains his place between the sticks.

The injured Leny Yoro could be replaced by Jonny Evans in the heart of defence, with the Swede joining Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Harry Amass in the back four. We could see Lindelof appear in the second half after returning from injury.

We expect to see the same midfield that lined up against Arsenal in Los Angeles. That means Toby Collyer will get another opportunity to impress alongside Casemiro and Mason Mount.

There could be changes up front with fears that Rasmus Hojlund sustained a hamstring injury in the previous match. In that case, Marcus Rashford could lead the line with Amad Diallo and Jadon Sancho attacking from either flank.

Ten Hag could also opt to give Ethan Wheatley a chance from the start against Real Betis.

Stretty News’ predicted XI to face Real Betis: Onana, Wan-Bissaka, Evans, Maguire, Amass, Casemiro, Collyer, Mount, Amad, Rashford, Sancho.
