Marcus Rashford says training in the United States has so far been “good” ahead of Manchester United’s second game of the pre-season tour.

The Reds have played three pre-season friendlies so far this season, losing to Rosenberg and Arsenal and beating Rangers.

Next up, La Liga outfit Real Betis face United in San Diego in the early hours of Thursday morning (UK time).

Erik ten Hag will hope his team can step up their pre-season preparations and get another win under their belt.

The final game of the US tour will see United take on rivals Liverpool.

Rashford has reflected on United’s training camp in the US and the feedback is positive. He will be aiming for a better goal tally this season after making just eight across all competitions last term.

“It’s been good,” Rashford told MUTV, as quoted by ManUtd.com. “Obviously, we were disappointed not to win the game [against Arsenal], but I think we also got some valuable minutes against a good opposition. So, you know, two halves to take from the game.

“But we’re obviously looking to win more games going forward. You know, it’s always nice to come back here [to UCLA]. I think they’ve got good facilities. We can get the work that we need to get done in the training sessions. So, definitely, it’s always good to come back here. It always seems to go so quickly once we get here. But it’s been enjoyable.

“The stadium was nice. Nice stadium, nice atmosphere. And it’s also good just to play in front of the fans that don’t get to go to Old Trafford week in, week out.”

Furthermore, United We Stand editor Andy Mitten revealed this week that he is hearing good things about Rashford’s preparations ahead of the new season.

Rashford’s interview with MUTV presenter Sam Homewood concludes with a question about his childhood dream of playing for United.

“I think as you get older, your dreams change as well,” Rashford explained.

“So, you know, in the beginning it was just about playing for Man United. And when you get there, it’s about winning. So I still have, you know, dreams of winning the big trophies, the Premier League and Champions League with Man United. So, you know, hopefully we can get that done.”
