Such interest came after Beier netted an impressive 16 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last campaign, leading to a fifth-placed finish in the division’s Golden Boot rankings. That in itself is quite the feat, given that in 2022/2023, he was on loan with second-tier side Hannover.
His scintillating efforts didn’t go unnoticed by Julian Nagelsmann, either, as the youngster was named in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad at the beginning of the summer. He only featured once at the tournament in an off-the-bench cameo, but you can expect he’ll play a key role for his nation for years to come if his career continues on the upward trajectory it’s on.
