Manchester United vs Real Betis preview: Team news, kick-off time, TV channel

Manchester United face Real Betis in their next friendly match in San Diego on Wednesday night.

Erik ten Hag’s side go into the game looking for a better outcome than they managed in the first game of the US tour, losing 2-1 against Arsenal over the weekend.

However, in United’s opening two pre-season friendlies, the Reds lost to Rosenborg before claiming victory over Rangers.

Injuries issues are once again cropping up after losing both Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro after the pair sustained setbacks in the defeat to Arsenal.

Our Spanish opponents, Real Betis, go into the game after suffering a narrow defeat to Liverpool. It will be the third of their seven pre-season matches and it kicks off at 3 am BST on Thursday morning.

Team News

Yoro and Hojlund suffered injury blows against Arsenal, so we expect both players to be ruled out for this one.

Fans will nervously awaiting the diagnosis of both injuries, although it is thought that Hojlund’s injury is less serious.

Previous meetings

Manchester United have faced Real Betis twice in competitive competition.

Both matches came in the Europa League last-16 in the 2022/23 season, with United winning both legs for an 5-1 aggregate victory.

Unfortunately, the club they share their city with – Sevilla – were the team to knock out us of the competition that season.
