Andre Onana “proud” as latest surgical campaign helps 350+ people in Cameroon

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana continues to provide support for the people of Cameroon.

The Andre Onana Foundation’s latest surgical campaign has helped over 350 people in Cameroon.

Alongside the Spanish NGOs Bisturi Solidario and Cirujanos en Accion, the Andre Onana Foundation has been providing life-changing paediatric services, mostly surgeries, since its inception in 2020.

In over 13 days, more than 350 individuals were operated on to save their lives or improve their quality of life. The entire mission was carried out at the Hôpital Gynéco-Obstérique et Pédiatrique in Yaoundé.

The ASAF Foundation, led by Eran Moas, made a fundamental contribution to ensuring the mission’s success.

Speaking about the latest project, Onana told Stretty News: “I am proud that the André Onana Foundation continues to develop projects to improve the lives of all Cameroonians. My commitment to my country remains strong.”

Dr. César Ramírez, founder of the NGO Bisturí Solidario and a member of the NGO Surgeons in Action, explained that “the goal is to be able to intervene to cure conditions that can complicate patients’ lives, as well as to improve the quality of life for Cameroonians who trust in our expertise.” He also hailed the Andre Onana Foundation, an organisation that “has been making significant advances in the country for some time.”

The honourable charity started in Cameroon but has since spread across West and Central Africa. It shows that Onana is determined to bring healthy change across the continent.

African footballers have a history of going above and beyond, which is certainly the case with Onana.
