Video: Hojlund bullies Arsenal defender with sensational opening goal in LA

Rasmus Hojlund opens the scoring against Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The goal came from a terrific long ball from Marcus Rashford, who found Hojlund in Arsenal’s half with Ayden Heaven to beat.

Hojlund had a lot of work to do following a sensational first touch, but he hadHeaven on toast as he breezed past the Netherlands defender.

The Dane made no mistake in front of goal as he tucked in from close range.

Sadly for United, Hojlund made a gesture to the bench that he needed to come off minutes after scoring. The striker made another gesture that he felt a minor strain but nobody is going to take risks like that in these games.

Hojlund has since been replaced by Hannibal Mejbri.

It’s a shame because he would have been delighted to get off the mark on pre-season. The one thing players dread in pre-season is injury setbacks.

We hope it doesn’t setback Hojlund too far.
