Manchester United recieve injury boost after star was forced to miss Rangers friendly

After missing Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Rangers, Marcus Rashford was pictured back amongst his Manchester United team-mates on training this morning.

The Manchester United squad will fly out to the United States on Wednesday for their pre-season tour.

Rashford was left out of the 26-man squad that faced Rangers at Murrayfield in Edinburgh due to a niggling injury. The forward, who had no involvement in the European Championship this summer, was on the absentee list along with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Antony.

The positive news coming out of the club (via ManUtd.com) today is Rashford has returned to full training after being pictured at first-team training this morning.

Eyes will be on Rashford this coming season because he performed abysmally last term. Erik ten Hag has kept his faith in the United academy graduate and he played 45 minutes as a starter in our pre-season opener against Rosenborg in Norway.

United take on Arsenal in the US this weekend.

The aim in the US will be to ensure United are best prepared for the new season. That doesn’t necessarily mean winning all of our games, but keeping our star players injury-free and reaching peak fitness will be key for Ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund have linked up with the group ahead of the US tour.
