Man United prepared to show ambition by making £84million move for attacker

Manchester United are ready to break the bank to sign one of their transfer targets this summer.

The Red Devils have completed the signings of striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro so far this summer.

However, their transfer business is not going to stop any time soon with more arrivals expected at Old Trafford soon.

Accoding to SPORT, Man United are willing to offer £84million (€100million) to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Xavi Simons.

During his season-long loan in the Bundesliga, Simons had an amazing season in which he recorded 10 goals and 15 assists across all competitions for RB Leipzig.

At UEFA Euro 2024, he made an impression with the Netherlands as well.

His fine performances have caught the attention of both Man United and Bayern Munich this summer, with the Red Devils prepared to beat the German giants to sign the Dutch international.

Xavi Simons is being linked with a move to Man United.

Both manager Erik ten Hag and his new assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy have given their backing to the transfer of the Dutchman, according to the Spanish outlet, stating that the Old Trafford team are quite impressed with Simons’ talents.

The Red Devils want to challenge the biggest clubs in the world for silverware next season.

The Ineos lead revolution at Man United is set to continue and the club sees Simons as part of the future project at Old Trafford.

Man United should target a central midfielder next

It remains to be seen if the club can manage to spend £84million on one player this summer.

Having already spent on Zirkzee and Yoro, the club should be clever in their dealings now before deciding to offer such a large amount of transfer fee.

The current priority should be the signing of a midfielder or another defender before any move for an attack minded player.
